SwitchBlade: Old School ... the Mercury Customs way.

We've hinted in some of our spy photos that there's some color and chrome here at Mercury Customs. We don't do just black and gray. When a client came to us wanting more of the old school look, we were up for the challenge! With a Paul Yaffe frame and twisted chrome spoke wheels, we had some fun with the final details and finishing (as always).

There were some tough decisions regarding color; after many color choices, we agreed on green. But not just a standard green. This is a powdercoated bike that has multiple tones within it; the green ranges from bright to almost black depending on the light, and it has metalflake which offsets the complementing highlight color of metallic gold. But we couldn't stop there; if it's old school it has to have pinstriping. And we didn't just pinstrip the gas tank and fenders - it extended to the engine highlights down to the remote mount oil filter.

The ProLite Series Fender Light

The new ProLite series is now available in widths to fit 200, 250, 280 & 300 size fenders. (ProLite width and arc varies based upon fender widths.)

Completely sealed, vibration-proof and waterproof, the ProLite rear fender light at less than 3/8" thick is the thinnest and only under-fender mount light. Install the ProLite on your bike and watch the crowd form. Standard ProLite is wired to accomodate Running/Brake/Turn lighting. Fight Club Products

The response to Hot Bike's feature article on 'Fight Club' has been enormous. We've been getting calls across the world from people who want a custom bike like 'Fight Club', or at least some of the custom products that we made for the client.

Products such as the exhaust pipes, air cleaner and custom fender lighting are the most popular. While we haven't had a chance to get them in our on-line store yet, rest assured that we are working on it. For now, a simple email or phone call is a way to purchase a 'Fight Club' product that you've been eyeing.

Hot Bike Tech Article

Mercury Customs and Hot Bike Magazine teamed up again in a Hot Bike Tech article in the No. 4 Edition for 2008.

In this article, Mercury Customs installed the SAS-99 air ride system from Custom Cycle Control Systems (CCCS). Air ride systems can vary in price, simplicity to install, and quality. This article goes into great detail on all these aspects and answers all of your questions about CCCS's air ride system.

As always, it was a pleasure working with Eric Ellis from Hot Bike as we installed the module. He's a walking encyclopedia of current events and information for the motorcycle industry. And there are future articles to see with Hot Bike and Mercury Customs, so stay tuned for more.
